Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Market Place, Indore, India by Lindy Guinness. The price achieved of GBP 376.00 (€ 588.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lindy Guinness - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oasis, Tunisia II, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,387.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Market Place, Indore, India von Lindy Guinness zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 376,00 (€ 588,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lindy Guinness mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Oasis, Tunisia II beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.387,44) versteigert wurde.
