A top price for Lindy Guinness - as previously expected
In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Peter Langan: A Life with Art, which included the work Oasis, Tunisia II by Lindy Guinness. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,387.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Oasis, Tunisia II is the most expensive artwork by Lindy Guinness that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Peter Langan: A Life with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oasis, Tunisia II von Lindy Guinness zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.387,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Oasis, Tunisia II das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lindy Guinness, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
