The work Calligraphy in Regular Script by Lin Zexu was sold in the Chinese Paintings-The Online sale auction at Bonhams in September this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 7,040.00 (€ 849.40), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Zexu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,252,500.00 (€ 136,053.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Regular Script von Lin Zexu wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Paintings-The Online sale bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 7.040,00 (€ 849,40) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Zexu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.252.500,00 (€ 136.053,98).
