The work Poem In Xingshu by Lin Yutang was worth HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,667.50) to a buyer in October 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Yutang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Handwritings And Manuscripts in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 8,200,000.00 (€ 877,938.49).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Yutang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Handwritings And Manuscripts im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.200.000,00 (€ 877.938,49).
