Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work The Library by Liliane Klapisch. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,583.80) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liliane Klapisch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2009 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,673.34).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Library von Liliane Klapisch zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.583,80) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liliane Klapisch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2009 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.673,34) versteigert wurde.
