The work Landscape by Liang Yuwei was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,873.43), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplet in Clerical Script in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,794.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Liang Yuwei wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.873,43) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplet in Clerical Script im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.794,45).
