Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Liang Yuwei was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,771.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplet in Clerical Script in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,794.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Liang Yuwei wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.771,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplet in Clerical Script im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.794,45).
