Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script by Liang Tongshu. The price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,389.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liang Tongshu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Scrolls in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 690,000.00 (€ 67,543.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script von Liang Tongshu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.389,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Tongshu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Scrolls im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 690.000,00 (€ 67.543,29).
