Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy by Liang Tongshu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,194.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liang Tongshu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Scrolls in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 690,000.00 (€ 67,543.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy von Liang Tongshu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.194,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Tongshu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Scrolls im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 690.000,00 (€ 67.543,29).
