Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Tang Hung and Fung Bi-Che Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Lu Guimeng'S Poem In Cursive Script by Liang Tongshu. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,915.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Tongshu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Scrolls in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 690,000.00 (€ 67,543.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Tang Hung and Fung Bi-Che Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lu Guimeng'S Poem In Cursive Script von Liang Tongshu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.915,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Tongshu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Scrolls im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 690.000,00 (€ 67.543,29).
