Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Liang Tongshu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,679.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liang Tongshu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Scrolls in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 690,000.00 (€ 67,543.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Liang Tongshu wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.679,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Tongshu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Scrolls im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 690.000,00 (€ 67.543,29).
