Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liang Tongshu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 165,200.00 (€ 18,744.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liang Tongshu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Scrolls, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 690,000.00 (€ 67,543.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liang Tongshu erzielte im März 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 165.200,00 (€ 18.744,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liang Tongshu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Scrolls beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 690.000,00 (€ 67.543,29) versteigert wurde.
