Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphic Couplet by Liang Tongshu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,102.27). Admittedly, works by Liang Tongshu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Scrolls in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 690,000.00 (€ 67,543.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet von Liang Tongshu wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.102,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Tongshu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Scrolls im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 690.000,00 (€ 67.543,29).
