In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included this untitled work by Liang Quan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,958.90), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liang Quan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 587,500.00 (€ 84,845.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Liang Quan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.958,90) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Quan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 587.500,00 (€ 84.845,91).
