Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy-The Amitabha Sutra by Liang Qichao. The price achieved of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,663.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Qichao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 4,160,000.00 (€ 480,774.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy-The Amitabha Sutra von Liang Qichao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.663,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Qichao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.160.000,00 (€ 480.774,05).
