Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liang Qichao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy in Xingshu sold for HKD 604,800.00 (€ 73,124.72) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liang Qichao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 4,160,000.00 (€ 480,774.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liang Qichao erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Xingshu für HKD 604.800,00 (€ 73.124,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Qichao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.160.000,00 (€ 480.774,05).
