Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Liang Dingfen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,386.03), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liang Dingfen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Correspondence in May last year with an auction result of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 32,909.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Liang Dingfen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.386,03) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Dingfen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Correspondence im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 32.909,59).
