It achieved a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,453.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Liang Dingfen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Correspondence in May last year with an auction result of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 32,909.59).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Liang Dingfen kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.453,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Dingfen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Correspondence im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 32.909,59).
