Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Xingshu by Liang Dingfen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 16,180.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liang Dingfen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Correspondence, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 277,200.00 (€ 32,909.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu von Liang Dingfen wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 16.180,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liang Dingfen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Correspondence beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 277.200,00 (€ 32.909,59) versteigert wurde.
