Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liang Dingfen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 20,590.58) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liang Dingfen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Correspondence sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 32,909.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liang Dingfen erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 20.590,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liang Dingfen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Correspondence im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 32.909,59).
