A top price for Lian Xi
When the work Saying Goodbye by Lian Xi was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than nine times as high at USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79). This high result makes Saying Goodbye the most expensive artwork by Lian Xi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Lian Xi
Als die Arbeit Saying Goodbye von Lian Xi im September 2019 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 3.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79) mehr als neunmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Saying Goodbye zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Lian Xi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
