This artwork by Lian Xi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. In the Saturday at Sotheby's: Asian Art auction, the work Couplet In Running Script sold for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,463.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lian Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saying Goodbye in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lian Xi erzielte im September 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Saturday at Sotheby's: Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.463,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lian Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saying Goodbye im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79).
