The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,133.70), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liam Gillick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Resolution Platform in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 49,600.00.

Die Arbeit Shelf System A von Liam Gillick wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Edition Schellmann: Fifty Are Better Than One bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.133,70) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liam Gillick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Resolution Platform im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.600,00.
