Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2019 Phillips in London held the auction Edition Schellmann: Fifty Are Better Than One, which included the work A short text on the possibility of creating an economy of equivalence, from Door Cycle by Liam Gillick. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,836.30). Admittedly, works by Liam Gillick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Resolution Platform in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 49,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Edition Schellmann: Fifty Are Better Than One durch, in der auch die Arbeit A short text on the possibility of creating an economy of equivalence, from Door Cycle von Liam Gillick zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.836,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liam Gillick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Resolution Platform im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.600,00.
