The work Three Goats by Li Yan was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2013. It achieved a price of HKD 74,750.00 (€ 7,093.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Yan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Long and Winding Road 1989.6.5, which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 228,000.00 (€ 24,410.97).

Die Arbeit Three Goats von Li Yan wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 74.750,00 (€ 7.093,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Yan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Long and Winding Road 1989.6.5 beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 228.000,00 (€ 24.410,97) versteigert wurde.
