For Li Xiaoke, the concept of homeland suggests both the tangible environment one inhabits, and the intangible, traditional culture which one learns and embraces. Both interpretations offer the artist enormous space for imagination and expression. Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homeland by Li Xiaoke was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. The price achieved of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 239,386.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Other works by Li Xiaoke have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2015 the work Homeland was auctioned for HKD 2,360,000.00 (€ 275,710.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Homeland von Li Xiaoke wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 239.386,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Li Xiaoke konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2015 die Arbeit Homeland für HKD 2.360.000,00 (€ 275.710,92) versteigert.
