A top price for Li Tianyuan - as previously expected
The work Receiving A Letter by Li Tianyuan was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 1,062,000.00 (€ 122,736.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 900,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Receiving A Letter is the most expensive artwork by Li Tianyuan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Receiving A Letter von Li Tianyuan wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.000,00 (€ 122.736,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 900.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Receiving A Letter das teuerste Kunstwerk von Li Tianyuan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
