A top price for Li Shida
This artwork by Li Shida achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Drinking under the Moonlight sold for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. This high result makes Drinking under the Moonlight the most expensive artwork by Li Shida that we have observed at auctions so far.
