This artwork by Li Qiujun achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Grace from Dafengtang Studio - Painting and Calligraphy by Chang Dai-chien and His School auction, the work Hermit Under Pine, Calligraphy sold for HKD 33,040.00 (€ 3,859.95) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Qiujun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Revising Books in the Northern Qi Dynasty, After Yan Liben in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,040,000.00 (€ 287,507.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
