This artwork by Li Qing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In The Two Paintings) sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 25,396.14) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Qing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In Two Paintings), which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 590,000.00 (€ 54,873.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Qing erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In The Two Paintings) für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 25.396,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Qing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In Two Paintings) beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 590.000,00 (€ 54.873,83) versteigert wurde.
