Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Bule-And-Green Landscape by Li Qing was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 120,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 517,500.00 (€ 49,108.06). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Li Qing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In Two Paintings) sold at auction in April 2014 with the realized price of HKD 590,000.00 (€ 54,873.83).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Bule-And-Green Landscape von Li Qing im Oktober 2013 bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 120.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 517.500,00 (€ 49.108,06) mehr als viermal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Li Qing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In Two Paintings) im April 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 590.000,00 (€ 54.873,83).
