Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Lei could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction, the work High Building, People Far Away And The Water And The Sky Merging In One Color No. 3 changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,791.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Lei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shanghai Flower No.73, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,432.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Lei konnte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan wechselte die Arbeit High Building, People Far Away And The Water And The Sky Merging In One Color No. 3 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.791,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Lei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shanghai Flower No.73 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.432,09) versteigert wurde.
