Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Acupuncture by Li Hui was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 860,000.00 (€ 78,536.03), 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ark No. 2, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 2,407,500.00 (€ 198,201.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Acupuncture von Li Hui wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 78.536,03) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ark No. 2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 2.407.500,00 (€ 198.201,00) versteigert wurde.
