Note:
Born in Kunming, Yunnan, Li Fuyuan entered the Beijing Art Academy in 1957 to study painting under Wu Guanzhong, and was equally exposed to nineteenth-century Impressionist paintings and traditional Chinese folk art. After graduating from the Academy in 1963, Li continued to teach in Beijing for several decades, exhibiting his works in the UK, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Twin Peacocks by Li Fuyuan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The price achieved of HKD 100,000 (€ 11,419) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 80,000 - 120,000. Other works by Li Fuyuan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2011 the work was auctioned for HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Twin Peacocks von Li Fuyuan kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000 (€ 11.419) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000 – 120.000 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Li Fuyuan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2011 die Arbeit für HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553) versteigert.
