Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Birds by Li Fuyuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 30,000 (€ 3,278), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Fuyuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds von Li Fuyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 30.000 (€ 3.278) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Fuyuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553).
