The work Cattle At Foothill by Li Fuyuan was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250 (€ 8,089), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Fuyuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35% übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cattle At Foothill von Li Fuyuan wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250 (€ 8.089) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Fuyuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553) versteigert wurde.
