This artwork by Li Fenggong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II auction, the work Stone Age Inhabitant of Hong Kong sold for HKD 72,000.00 (€ 7,231.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Li Fenggong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Appreciating Fish At The Pavilion sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,858.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Fenggong erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II wurde die Arbeit Stone Age Inhabitant of Hong Kong für HKD 72.000,00 (€ 7.231,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Li Fenggong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Appreciating Fish At The Pavilion im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.858,19).
