Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Correspondence by Li Dongyang. The price achieved of HKD 72,000.00 (€ 7,497.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Dongyang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fourteen Poems on Planting Bamboo in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 4,575,000.00 (€ 4,074,634.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Correspondence von Li Dongyang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 72.000,00 (€ 7.497,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Dongyang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fourteen Poems on Planting Bamboo im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.575.000,00 (€ 4.074.634,84).
