Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living with Art, which included the work Cows Watering by Levi Wells Prentice. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,420.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Levi Wells Prentice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Blue Mountain Lake in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cows Watering von Levi Wells Prentice zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.420,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Levi Wells Prentice erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View Of Blue Mountain Lake im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.482,38).
