Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2020 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Blue Mountain Lake by Levi Wells Prentice. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,323.06), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Levi Wells Prentice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of Blue Mountain Lake, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue Mountain Lake von Levi Wells Prentice zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.323,06) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Levi Wells Prentice mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View Of Blue Mountain Lake beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.482,38) versteigert wurde.
