Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Basket of Apples by Levi Wells Prentice was sold in the The American Scene including Important Photographs from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,741.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Levi Wells Prentice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of Blue Mountain Lake in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38).
