This artwork by Leopold Strobl achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2019. In the Outsider and Vernacular Art auction, the work Untitled (2015-024), 2015 sold for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,619.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leopold Strobl; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (2015-014), 2015 sold at auction in January 2020 with the realized price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,704.41).
