Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of The Artist'S Daughter, Half-Length, In A Fur Wrap by Leopold Schmutzler for GBP 143.40 (€ 206.39). This price was achieved in the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leopold Schmutzler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Nude on the Beach in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 47,000.00 (€ 50,385.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of The Artist'S Daughter, Half-Length, In A Fur Wrap von Leopold Schmutzler für GBP 143,40 (€ 206,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leopold Schmutzler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Nude on the Beach im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.000,00 (€ 50.385,93).
