Despite a disappointment, a good price for Leonid Borisov
When the work Black-White by Leonid Borisov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,544.10). Despite this disappointing result, Black-White is the most expensive artwork by Leonid Borisov that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Leonid Borisov
Als die Arbeit Black-White von Leonid Borisov im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.544,10) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Black-White das teuerste Kunstwerk von Leonid Borisov, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
