Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Animalia, which included the work Je Ne Fume Que Le Nil (Papier a Cigarettes), c. 1912 by Leonetto Cappiello. The price achieved of USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,411.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonetto Cappiello have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Campari in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,833.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Animalia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Je Ne Fume Que Le Nil (Papier a Cigarettes), c. 1912 von Leonetto Cappiello zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.411,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonetto Cappiello auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Campari im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 7.833,59).
