Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Vintage posters, which included the work Contratto by Leonetto Cappiello. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,040.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonetto Cappiello - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Campari, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,833.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Vintage posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Contratto von Leonetto Cappiello zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.040,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonetto Cappiello mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Campari beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 7.012,50 (€ 7.833,59) versteigert wurde.
