Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work Untitled Triptych, Demoiselles De Porto Novo Series, 2012 by Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,526.57). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled triptych ('Demoiselles de Porto-Novo' series), 2012, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,288.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled Triptych, Demoiselles De Porto Novo Series, 2012 von Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.526,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled triptych ('Demoiselles de Porto-Novo' series), 2012 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.288,43) versteigert wurde.
