Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (from Dahomey to Benin series) by Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou was sold in the A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection auction at Christies in London in October last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,229.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled triptych ('Demoiselles de Porto-Novo' series), 2012 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,288.43).

Die Arbeit Untitled (from Dahomey to Benin series) von Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.229,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou erzielen.
