Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Benineseuntitled, Musclemen Series, 2012 by Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,977.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled triptych ('Demoiselles de Porto-Novo' series), 2012 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,288.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Benineseuntitled, Musclemen Series, 2012 von Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.977,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled triptych ('Demoiselles de Porto-Novo' series), 2012 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.288,43).
