In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Texas Cowboy, 1949 by Leonard McCombe. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,481.24), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard McCombe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Texas Cowboy Clarence Hailey Long, 1949, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,203.11).

Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Texas Cowboy, 1949 von Leonard McCombe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.481,24) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard McCombe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Texas Cowboy Clarence Hailey Long, 1949 beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.203,11) versteigert wurde.
